Hola Amigos!

I swear, the City of Long Beach has some of the best weather that Southern California has to offer. I lived in Long Beach for about 7 years and Rosemead is nothing like it. I really do miss the lovely weather, all the mom and pop restaurants, and the charming little neighborhoods within its 50 square mile radius.

Today’s blog entry brings us right into Downtown Long Beach, where anyone can find something to do or a some place to eat. I was invited by a very close friend to a birthday party to snap a few pictures during the festivities. The party, hosted by Dr. Torin and Carol Cunningham, was to celebrate their adorable boy’s first year. It was hosted at the Long Beach Aquarium of the Pacific and I couldn’t pass up an opportunity to visit one of my favorite aquariums. Tieghan, the special birthday boy, was spoiled all afternoon with attention and gifts from all his friends and family. Here are a few selected images for all 3 of my loyal visitors! Peep it.

The Aquarium of the Pacific definitely welcomed me and about 200 other guests to celebrate Tieghan’s big birthday.

How adorable and fashionable is this little one??

Parties by Erin were the entertainment for all the kids (of all ages). This excited boy must have been holding up some kind of golden ticket.

Time for bubble play!

Now mama bear is holding the little one back as he points to his Finding Nemo-inspired cake.

This is the cake that Tieghan was pointing at. No wonder.

Tieghan feels left out without appropriate eye wear, so he attempts to take them from mama bear.

How fearless!

“Hey, Bud. You got anymore of that apple juice back here? I’m feeling quite parched.”

It was a beautiful day and it was simply awesome being there. I would like to thank the Cunningham’s once again for inviting me and I hope you enjoy the pictures that I was more than happy to take. It was definitely my pleasure, and a small way for me to repay you for your kind hospitality and priceless view during the Long Beach Grand Prix a few weekends ago. I’ll give the DVD with all the raw and edited images to Emory and have him pass it on to you at work. I’ll also give Emory some information for your guests so they could find the rest of the edited images on this blog.

Alright, folks, that’s all for now, but there is much more to come very soon!

Palabra,

Danny

Hello Everybody!

Forgive me, but it has been a while since my last post. I have been a little busy with a couple of other projects, photoshoots, and trying to get my other site up and running. My other website is going to showcase another side of me. I love finding new restaurants and taking pictures of the food I order before I devour it. Fixed-up cars, race motorcycles, and modified scooters are a few other things that I am totally passionate about. I am going to post those types of pictures on that site, and leave this site for wedding and engagement photos. I’ll also post up some bloopers and behind the scene shots. Those should be fun to laugh at. It’ll have a real down-to-Earth feel to it.

Today’s event brings us to Abalone Cove in the city of Rancho Palos Verde. It is a scenic little state park with a fantastic view of the Pacific Ocean and Catalina Island. Below the bluff top viewing area is a very private beach. Our couple today, Tiffany and Gordon, are a cute young couple who cannot wait to tie the knot this summer. They needed some nice pictures, and since we had a mutual friend, <a title=”wedding photographer” href=”http://furiousphotographers.com”>Doug</a> and I were obliged to help them out. Have a gander at a few shots we came out with!

Here are Tiffany and Gordon at the top of the bluff at Abalone Cove Shoreline Park

We found a little day care center and thought this would work as a nice backdrop.

What a beautiful day in Rancho Palos Verdes!

So that was our day and everyone had a good time out there. Beautiful Southern California weather just relaxes me so much and reminds me how fortunate I am to be doing what I’m doing out here. I have a few more events to edit and post, so check back soon! Once my other site is up, I’ll link everyone to it through this site. Thanks everyone!

Cheers!
